Our History
Niji Group began in 1991 as a local startup known as Niji-Lukas founded by Kolawole Adeniji who had that time saw the challenges faced by multinational food and agro processing companies in getting local expertise to providing critical engineering, equipment installation and maintenance services for their food processing plants. The startup consulted for international brands such as Nestle, Flour Mill Nigeria (FMN), Guinness and Nigerian Breweries and was instrumental to the setting up of a good number of the fast food companies in Nigeria.
Within a few years, the company moved into full scale manufacturing of agricultural machineries and agro processing equipment manufacturing and since then has been conveniently working across the entire agricultural value-chain with stakeholders from public and private sector for these years. Niji Group is a lead innovation implementer with the United States Agency for International Development (USAID), International Institute for Tropical Agriculture (IITA), HarvestPlus, Federal Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development (FMARD) and several other private firms and states government within and outside Nigeria.
